Pricing & Contracts

Pricing & Contracts

5 questions

We don't publish a one-size-fits-all price list, and here's why: the right scope for your business depends on where you are, what you need, and what's going to move the needle most. A 3-person plumbing company and a 25-person HVAC operation have very different needs — and charging them the same rate wouldn't be honest. What we can tell you is that our entry-level services (Google Business Profile management, SEO, and CRM consulting) are priced to be accessible for small service companies. Mid-level and high-level engagements are scoped based on the complexity of the work and the size of the business. The discovery call is free, and we'll give you a clear, written proposal with specific pricing before you commit to anything. No vague estimates, no surprise invoices.
It depends on the service. Ongoing services like Google Business Profile management and SEO are typically structured as monthly retainers — the work compounds over time, and the results reflect that. We generally ask for a 3-month minimum on these, which is the realistic timeframe to start seeing meaningful results. Project-based work — like a process audit, a CRM implementation, or exit preparation — is scoped and priced per engagement. You pay for the work, and when the work is done, the engagement is complete. No ongoing obligation unless you want one. We're not in the business of locking clients into contracts they don't want to be in. If we're doing our job, you'll want to keep working with us.
We accept ACH bank transfer, credit card, and check. Retainer services are billed monthly, typically on the 1st of the month. Project-based work is usually billed 50% upfront and 50% upon completion for smaller engagements, with milestone-based billing for larger projects. We'll spell all of this out clearly in your proposal so there are no surprises.
Absolutely — and honestly, that's how most of our client relationships start. We'll often recommend beginning with the highest-impact service for your specific situation, prove the value, and then expand the engagement from there. A lot of our mid-level and high-level clients started as entry-level clients. There's no pressure to buy everything at once. Start where it makes sense for your business right now.
Yes. When clients engage us for multiple services at once — for example, GBP management plus SEO, or a process audit plus implementation — we build that into the proposal pricing. The more work we're doing together, the more efficient the engagement becomes for both sides, and we reflect that in the pricing. Ask about bundled pricing on your discovery call and we'll put together a package that makes sense for your situation.
Timelines & Results

Timelines & Results

We'll be straight with you: SEO is not a fast channel. Meaningful, sustainable results typically take 3 to 6 months to show up in your rankings and call volume. That's not a cop-out — it's just how search engines work. They're evaluating trust and relevance over time, not just what you did last week. That said, you'll often see early wins in the first 30 to 60 days — corrections to your Google Business Profile, fixing technical issues on your website, and cleaning up citation inconsistencies can produce noticeable improvements relatively quickly. The businesses that invest in SEO consistently for 6 to 12 months are the ones that dominate their local markets for years. The ones that quit after 90 days because they didn't see overnight results are the ones still paying for every click.
A basic CRM setup — getting the platform configured, your pipeline built, and your team trained — typically takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on the complexity of your business and the platform we're implementing. More complex setups with multiple integrations, automations, and custom workflows can take 4 to 8 weeks. The timeline also depends on how available your team is for the training and onboarding process. We'll set clear milestones in your proposal so you know exactly what to expect and when.
A standard process audit for a small to mid-size service company typically takes 2 to 3 weeks from kickoff to final report. That includes the discovery sessions with you and your team, our analysis and documentation, and the delivery of your written findings and recommendations. For larger or more complex operations, the timeline may extend to 4 to 5 weeks. We'll give you a specific estimate in your proposal based on the scope of your business.
Exit preparation is not a sprint — and any consultant who tells you they can get you ready to sell in 60 days is either not being honest or not doing the real work. Meaningful exit preparation typically takes 12 to 24 months, depending on where your business starts and where it needs to be. That's actually good news, because it means the time to start is now — not six months before you want to go to market. The businesses that command premium multiples are the ones that spent years building the systems, documentation, and financial track record that buyers want to see. We'll give you an honest assessment of where you stand and a realistic timeline for what it would take to get you where you want to be.
After the discovery call, we typically deliver a written proposal within 3 to 5 business days. Once you approve the proposal and complete the onboarding paperwork, we can usually begin work within 1 to 2 weeks. If you have a specific deadline or urgency, let us know on the discovery call and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
Our Process & Approach

Our Process & Approach

The discovery call is a 30-minute conversation — no sales pitch, no pressure. We'll ask you about your business: what you do, how big you are, what's working, what isn't, and where you want to go. We'll listen more than we talk. At the end of the call, we'll give you our honest read on what we think would help most, and whether we think we're the right fit for your situation. If we're not, we'll tell you that too. There's no obligation, no credit card required, and no follow-up pressure if it's not the right time.
We're primarily a remote firm, which means we can work with service companies anywhere in the country. The vast majority of our work — strategy sessions, reporting, implementation support, training — happens via video call, email, and shared documents. For certain engagements, particularly process audits and implementation projects, an on-site visit can be valuable. If that's the case for your situation, we'll discuss it during the proposal phase. We're based in the Fort Worth, Texas area, so on-site work in North Texas is straightforward. For clients outside the area, we'll factor travel into the project scope if it's warranted.
We keep it simple and consistent. Most clients communicate with us via email for day-to-day questions and updates, and we schedule regular check-in calls — typically bi-weekly or monthly depending on the engagement — to review progress, address questions, and plan next steps. We don't bury you in updates you don't need, and we don't disappear for weeks at a time. You'll always know where things stand and what's coming next. If something comes up that needs your attention, we'll reach out directly — we won't make you dig for it.
It depends on the service. For ongoing services like GBP management and SEO, your involvement is minimal once we're set up — we handle the day-to-day work and send you a monthly report. You review it, ask questions if you have them, and we keep moving. For project-based work like process audits, CRM implementation, and exit preparation, your involvement is more significant — especially in the early stages. We need to understand how your business actually works, which means time with you and your key people. We'll be clear about what we need from you and when, so you can plan around it. We're not a firm that takes your money and disappears. But we're also not going to waste your time with unnecessary meetings and check-ins.
We take that seriously. If something isn't working the way it should, we want to know about it immediately — not at the end of a contract term. Our approach is to address issues directly and adjust the strategy as needed. For ongoing retainer services, if you're not seeing the progress we projected and we can't identify a clear path to improvement, we'll have an honest conversation about whether continuing the engagement makes sense. We'd rather end a relationship on good terms than keep billing for work that isn't delivering. For project-based work, we define clear deliverables and success criteria upfront, so there's no ambiguity about what we're delivering. If we fall short of what we committed to, we make it right.
Is This Right for My Business?

Is This Right for My Business?

We work specifically with small and lower-market residential and commercial service companies. That generally means businesses with 1 to 50 employees and annual revenue between $250,000 and $10 million, though we've worked outside those ranges in both directions. What matters more than size is where you are in your growth journey and whether the work we do is going to move the needle for your business. We'll tell you honestly on the discovery call if we think we're a good fit.
We work with residential and commercial service companies across a wide range of trades and service categories, including: • HVAC, plumbing, and electrical • Landscaping, lawn care, and irrigation • Pest control and extermination • Cleaning and janitorial services • Roofing, painting, and general contracting • Restoration and remediation • Pool and spa services • Security and alarm systems • And other field service businesses If you run a crew, manage customers, and operate in a defined service area, we likely work with businesses like yours.
It depends on where you're trying to go. If you're a solo operator who wants to stay solo and just needs some help getting found online, our entry-level services can absolutely help you. If you're a solo operator who's trying to grow — hire your first employee, take on more jobs, build something that doesn't require you to be on every call — then the mid-level and high-level work we do becomes very relevant. The time to build good systems is before you scale, not after. Either way, the discovery call is the right place to start. We'll give you an honest read on what makes sense for where you are right now.
That's a fair question, and we hear it often. Here's what we've found: most consulting engagements fail for one of three reasons — the recommendations weren't practical for the business's real-world constraints, there was no accountability for implementation, or the consultant didn't actually understand the service business environment. We try to address all three. Our recommendations are built around how service businesses actually operate, not how they're supposed to operate in a textbook. We stay involved through implementation, not just planning. And we've spent enough time around the trades to know the difference between a strategy that looks good on paper and one that holds up when your crew is three jobs deep on a Tuesday. We can't guarantee we'll be the right fit for every business. But we can guarantee we'll be honest with you about what we think will work and what won't — and we'll tell you on the front end if we don't think we can help.
No — and honestly, if your business were already fully in order, you probably wouldn't need us. We work with businesses at all stages of organization, from "pretty well-run but could be better" to "we're growing fast and things are starting to fall apart." The process audit is specifically designed for businesses that aren't sure where to start. It gives you a clear picture of where things stand and what to prioritize — so you're not guessing at what to fix first. Come as you are. We'll figure out the rest together.
